Nasarawa State

Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed was born on the 27th of February 1970 at unguwar Dallatu nasarawa. He completed his primary Education at Unguwar Goje primary School Dengi ,Plateau State. He was admitted and completed his secondary Education at the Government College Nasarawa Eggon 1987 being the 1st set of the college.

He was admitted into Federal polytechnic Nasarawa and completed in1991 and 1996 respectively, for his National Diploma & Higher National Diploma in Accounting. Dr Ahmed also hold post graduate Diploma in Management from ATBU, Masters in Business Administration from University of Calabar, BSc Accounting, MSc Accounting and finance and PhD accounting and finance, all from Nasarawa State University Keffi.

He was employed by the FCT in 1992 and served for 14 years and resigned in 2006 as a Principal Accountant to join politics. Within the same period, Dr. Ahmed was appointed by the then minister of fct, Mallam Nasir Elrufai as the project accountant for the FCT UBE/WORLD BANK project in 2005 .

Dr Ahmed was elected to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in 2007 and served as the speaker for two terms from 2007-2011 and 2011-2015 respectively. Within the period under review Dr Ahmed was the National Vice Chairman of the conference of Speakers of Nigerian State Legislature and Chairman North Central Conference of Speakers for 6 Years. He was also the secretary Northern Speakers Forum for 4 Years.

He served in so many Administrative and political committees amongst which are, Chairman APC Senatorial electoral committee for kwara state, Deputy chairman, APC Local Government Election reconciliation committee, Chairman,APC House of Assembly primary election committee for sokoto state, Deputy Director, GOVERNOR A A SULE Campain committee amongst others. He is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of the body of State Legislature in Nigeria and also a member of the common wealth parliamentary association of India, United Kingdom, Sri lanka, Malaysia, Namibia.

He was engaged as lecturer with the Nasarawa State University Keffi in 2015 and later joined the Nigerian College of Accountancy jos in September 2019 as an assistant chief lecturer. He was the chief operating officer of the association of national accountants of Nigeria And until his appointment, the deputy chief executive officer incharge of Finance, Account and Audit/ corporate and external services of the association. He is presently the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, appointed on the 1st May, 2023. Dr. Ahmed is a holder of so many traditional titles, prominent amongst which is the Baraden Nasarawa and Dan Amanan Gudi.

He has visited more than 20 countries including Saudi Arabia, UK, US, UAE, France, Holland, Poland, Thailand, Germany, India, Malaysia, Sri lanca, Qatar, Ethiopia, South Africa, Namibia, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt, Liberia ,amongst others.
He has written 21 articles and attended more than 20 conferences both Academic and Non Academic.

He is married to Haj. Maryam Ahmed with 7 children and 3 grand children.
